Introduction

William grew up in beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia and attended Syracuse University to earn a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Acting Magna Cum Laude. In 2019, He co-founded The Blue Ridge Young Actors Guild, a fiscally sponsored community theatre company run solely by undergraduate theatre students. In the last two years, the guild produced two full Shakespeare productions and two live online plays. In his work with the Guild, William produced Twelfth Night at a local nature center in the Blue Ridge mountains and Romeo & Juliet at the nationally registered historic Swannanoa Mansion in Afton, Virginia. He also performed the role of Mercutio.

William discovered through his production work that he has a passion for company management, leading him to join the team at Barrington Stage Company in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. He has been selected to be part of their 2022 professional internship program.

William has over a decade of acting experience having performed in multiple educational productions as well as the Syracuse Stage Bank of America Children’s Tour in the fall of 2021.

He credits his experience in adolescence at Interlochen Arts Camp for igniting his passion for live theatre. William also has a passion for working with children and developing young artists through compassion and trauma informed care. He has spent multiple years as a program facilitator and camp counselor at such organizations as the Children's Theatre of Charlotte and the University of Virginia Equity Center.

When not working in the theater, William enjoys the outdoors and travel. In December, 2020, William drove across country in a sprinter van visiting thirteen National Parks. To learn more about William’s road trip, please click Here to watch his vlog series.
